• In Q2 2019, both occupancy (90.2%) and rents ($1.17) significantly rose year-over-year, improving on the flat rent and occupancy growth in Q1.

 

  • Year-to-date net absorption reached 10,094 units, which means Houston has already in two quarters absorbed more units than it had all of last year.

 

  • Deliveries are up compared to last year, as is the number of units identified as under construction. 

 

  • High-wage job growth has remained strong thanks to manufacturing and professional services jobs.
